Introduction
United Equestrian Sims Nation is a fan site for The Sims 3 players. At UESN, you can compete in shows, breed or sell horses or just enjoy the community and its features. To play at UESN, you need the EA game ‘The Sims 3’ and its expansion pack ‘Sims 3 Pets’.
Rules
Please read the following rules and regulations carefully. All members need to follow the rules that are stated here as well as the forum rules to ensure fairness, safety and privacy.
Section I: General
1: When registering at United Equestrian Sims Nation (in the following “UESN”), you agree to abide by these rules and guidelines that ensure fairness and a harmonic gameplay in the community.
2: The same rules apply to the registration at the community/forum
3: In order to join, participants must be thirteen (13) or older.
3a): If the birth date got adjusted to match this requirement and it is found out that the user is younger, the account will be deleted.
4: Members must be respectful at all times. Rude comments, spam, offending comments, threats, harrasment, profanity and other perversions are not allowed at any place or any time.
4a): Staff will ensure that no offending, racist or sexual content will be posted, this will get removed immediately.
5: Punishable behavior/offences are:
- Having more than one (1) account
- Spamming
- Harassing other players (for horses, lots, money, etc.)
- Cheating (failing to follow through a sale, cheating in T shows,....)
- Posting content which is not acceptable
- Bullying other players
- Abusing your position as a mod/admin/staff
- Changing the horse back to look like it was before it was registered (in a case when the horse won’t pass the registry requirements and has to be fixed to match the breed standards.)
- Copying others’ horses and stables repeatedly (by this meaning name of the horse, gender, coat, etc. / stable names and prefixes / riders)
6: Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning or a ban, depending on the severety of the infraction. Mediation with a mod/admin will always be done before a possible warning/ban.
Section II: Registration
1: By registering, you agree to the rules stated here. You will be asked again to agree when registering.
2: Your registration will need to be accepted by the admin. If your registration is not approved, you will recieve an e-mail explaining the reason.
3: Only one account is allowed per person (per IP address). Multiple accounts from the same IP address will be removed. Creating double accounts to get around warnings and/or bans is considered cheating and will result in a permanent ban.
3a): The only exception is if a member shares a computer (IP address) with a friend or family member, in this case please contact the admin immediately otherwise double accounts get deleted without warning.
4: User names need to consist of a first and last name to be accepted, these can be fictional.
5: It is your responsibility to ensure that your information is correct.
6: A valid e-mail address is required for registration at the Main Site as well as at the community/forum.
7: You may delete your content at any time.
8: When registering, you have the possibility to transfer your information (money and horse credits) from ‘Equus Sims’. This is a possibility and no requirement, you can start over fresh if you prefer.
8a: The transfer limits are the following:
Max 2.500.000,00$ (2500k) in money, additionally 100k per stable to recreate those.
Max 20 Credits, additionally one per horse you want to bring with you.
Horses Points and Level can be transferred 1:1
9: Prefixes/Suffixes may only be used once. When a certain letter combo is already used, you can not use it for your stable.
Section III: Community
1: After your account is activated on the Main Site, you can register at the forum.
2: It is required that the forum user name is identical to the Main Site user name.
3: Avatars may not contain offending, racist or sexual content. The required avatar size is 150 x 200 px.
4: Pictures on the forum may be a max. of 725px wide.
5a): Do not force extreme views to others, such as religious, political or sexual opinions.
5b): Bullying, harassment, mean or hateful criticism, and threats are absolutely forbidden all around UESN.
5c): Members are encouraged to report any messages that fail to follow this rule. Such messages will be removed by staff.
5d): Consequences to not following this rule will be:
Breaking this rule once will result in a warning.
Breaking this rule twice will result in a 2 weeks ban from the forum.
Breaking this rule three times will result in a 1 month ban from both the forum and the Main Site.
If this rule is broken again after a 1 month ban has been served, the offending account will be removed.
6: It is not acceptable to ask for external donations for own purposes. Equally, please do not provide personal information though such as address, phone number etc.
5a): Staff will remove personal information that has been displayed publically.
7: You may not request real-life personal information from other members.
8: English is the main language of UESN. If you use another language, English translations should be given. There may be no threads such as “Russian Chat”, all topics should be readable for everyone.
9: Please use correct spelling and grammar to ensure easy reading. “SMS Chat” is not allowed, though short terms such as ‘lol’ or ‘rofl’ are permitted.
9a): Staff will remove threads that are not understandable.
10: Do not spam.
Section IV: Membership
1: A member may have a maximum of three (3) stables.
Section V: Banking
1: Banking is done in fictional dollar ($). This is no real money but an on site currency. You can use this money to buy or sell things on and off the forum.
2: Asking for or offering actual, real-life money for anything on UESN, except for donation drives to the running of the site, is absolutely forbidden.
3: Failure to fullfill a request or deal where the other person has paid in advance, within 30 days or an otherwise agreed time period, will result in the staff withdrawing the payment from your account and sending it back to the other person.
Section VI: Certificates
1: A certificate is needed to create a horse. You can only create horses when you have no certificates left to use. This ensures the site is not flooded with phantom horses.
Section VII: Owning a Horse and Breeding
1: Horses should be created as realistic as possible to encourage a realistic game play.
2: Horses’ names may not be offensive, profane or sexually explicit.
3: Registering a horse ensures that it follows the breed standards to encourage realistic game play. Horses that have had to be adjusted in order to be registered are not allowed to be changed back to the unacceptable conformation or coat colour. Such horses will be considered frozen and will get unregistered until they get changed back.
4: Horses may be bought and sold via the main site.
5: Breeding rules can be made up by the owner of the horse, though it is suggested to not breed them during foal age.
5a: Only the official UESN Sale rules will be enforced.
6: Personal Black Lists are allowed, however it is not allowed to share them publically or send them along with sold horses.
7: Geldings may only be bred if the number of available breedings have been reported in the “Breeding Bank”-thread on the forum.

1: Riders may not be named after famous real-life riders.
2: Riders’ names may not be offensive, profane or sexually explicit.
3: Riders can be created in the Riders Lounge. This is needed in order to be able to select riders for horses when entering random shows.
